A short animation of what happens to the ions during electrolysis.
Director's Notes:
This is a very short film (the credits are longer!) to show what happens to the ions during electrolysis of copper chloride solution. This film was put together as a revision exercise during one of those lessons where half the students didn’t turn up due to some sporting activity that I’m sure I had been notified about. So it took one 60 minute lesson plus a little post production work from me, typing in the credits.
Nominee, Best Chemistry Film, 2010
SciCast Notes:
I love love love the honest director’s notes that came with this film. We’ve all been there — and it goes to show that you can make a worthwhile SciCast film in very little time.
