A simple circuit, as demonstrated during an attempted bank heist.
Director's Notes:
Team S.A.C write:
The film aims to explain a simple circuit in a fun and interesting way. With the help of a character Deko and a backdrop of a bank.
SciCast Notes:
For some reason, films from Ireland always seem to have more problems with sound than do films from anywhere else. I think it’s partly a measure of enthusiasm, as shouting into a microphone produces a characteristic distortion. I’ve managed to tame it a little here with some post-processing, but it’s still a shame that the film’s harder to understand than it could be.
If you find yourself in this position, it’s worth trying out the microphone in your laptop. Some of them are designed for video chat, and are really very good if you sit in a normal desk position, and speak at a normal conversational level. It’s quite possible that your laptop’s microphone is the highest-quality recording device you have access to.
OK, sound aside, what do I think of this film? I like it a lot, that’s what I think. I love the low-tech ‘pushing things around’ animation technique, and the bank set is brilliant — particularly the way it opens up. ‘Bling bling goes the ring’ cracks me up, too. Lots of work has gone into this, and it shows.
Good clear explanation and diagram, too.
