Director's Notes:
Team ‘Under Pressure’ say just this about their film:
Year 8 pupils demonstrate and explain the science behind bicarbonate of soda and vinegar rockets
SciCast Notes:
It’s unusual to have a film with clearer sound than pictures, even outdoors. I’m not sure if they’re doing clever things with microphones, or simply being confident in their performances.
A good clear close-up helps, and I like that the table moves from one location to another — presumably to get away from the annoying band practicing somewhere off in the background.
Criticisms? I would have liked to see more explosions, from different angles. I’ve no problem with jokey credits, but here, there’s 22 seconds of them — a repeat of the experiment working would still have left time for everything.
But that’s nit-picking: this is a good, clear, film. Great job.
