The action of teeth demonstrated by an entire class — with a few extras as molars!

Director's Notes:

An explanation of a process — the function of teeth. The film was made alongside the science topic ‘Teeth and Healthy Eating’ which the children were studying in the Autumn Term. This was an ambitious topic to cover in 2 1/2 minutes. There’s a lot of action.

We composed our own soundtrack but had nightmares trying to record it with equipment which was described as ‘easy to use’!

All 27 children in 3GL were involved — but we needed to borrow a few more to be molars!

Nominee, Best Biology Film (Primary), 2010

SciCast Notes:

Wonderful.

OK, so it took me a while to work out what the fairy was doing, but of course there has to be a fairy in a film about teeth. Don’t mind me, I’m a bit slow sometimes. I also really want to know where the giant toothbrush came from. But apart from that — just sit back and enjoy this one. It’s ridiculous, involves dozens of people, there’s a song, there’s choreography…

The closest SciCat has come to Glee?

Fabulous stuff.
