The many layers of spacesuits explored.
Director's Notes:
Team It’s Space Time write:
It’s a whirlwind tour of spacesuits, as much information about spacesuits as we could cram into 2 mins 30 sec!

Winner: EngineeringUK Best Engineering Film, 2010
SciCast Notes:
This takes a little while to get going, but once the team start making their own spacesuit it really picks up. Cracking stuff, and I’m particularly fond of the use of a tent, and the inventive use of the clothes cupboard, let alone the home-made spacesuit the film ends up with.
I’m also rather fond of ‘…and you may recognise me from science videos like ‘Pressure and the Gas Laws’ — it’s about time we had SciCast films referring to each other. If you missed it, here’s the film in question. Baguette!
