SciCast Notes:

Nominee: Best Chemistry Film, 2008

Most SciCast films are about practical science — demonstrations, experiments, investigations. But we’re pretty open-minded, and this counts for one simple, easy reason: it’s not boring.

OK, so it’s all textbook stuff, but the film summarises the subject nicely, and it romps along with barely a word out of place. Well done.

Criticisms? Since the lines are all very short, it would have been good to deliver them without the scripts. Heck, print the script out in large letters and tape it beneath the camera, that’s what I used to do in TV studios.

Good work, though.
