Speaking as the director of this movie and not as Stanley’s devoted Uncle Jonathan, I can honestly say it was a piece of cake to make this movie. What a star.

Oh, OK, maybe I am speaking as Stanley’s devoted uncle!

SciCast Notes:

This is a good example of how the jump cut makes your life a lot easier. If you use it consistently in a movie the viewer gets totally used to things suddenly being different. Look at the movie again but concentrate on what’s going on in the background.

It’s weird if you think about it, but you’re too busy concentrating on the unfolding making of the flute, and wanting to know what happens next. If you only use one jump cut in your movie though, that’s quite jarring…
