Chemistry, fireworks, pretty colours — and a huge amount of material in two-and-a-half minutes.
Director's Notes:
Team Chemkings write:
This is a short film explaining how light can be emitted from ions, and its use in fireworks. Probably the greatest challenge was the green screen, as maintaining even lighting was incredibly difficult, especially since we wanted to film full-body shots in the style of the Get a Mac ads.
The other challenge was fitting everything into 2.5 minutes, with a large amount of live footage as well as animations having to be cut at the end.
