Using brine shrimp to explore natural selection.

Director's Notes:

Some students are having problems understanding natural selection when they are given a brine shrimp kit. Within seconds they have it up and running, only to find that brine shrimp share some familiar human characteristics.

The students involved in filming are four year 7 children, aged 12 years. They were helped by their teacher, Dr Lennard. The group decided to put together a short and snappy video to try to explain natural selection. Dr Lennard stuck the video clips together using an entry level video editor, Pinnacle Studio.
