An air-powered bottle rocket. Like a water bottle rocket, only without the water.

Effect of increasing the air pressure in a plastic bottle causing it to be propelled into the air.

A quick word about safety here: these rockets aren’t terribly reliable except that when they go, they really go. Catch one in the face and you’ll know about it.
That’s why they’re usually placed on the ground, and everyone stands back. Holding them by hand, as shown here, isn’t a great idea. Now, everyone is behind the rocket, and the boy with the rocket is pointing it in the right sort of direction, but… where’s the camera operator, eh? Far enough away? Really?
